The Sanderson Exhaust Grill
The Sanderson Exhaust Grille
Typical bathroom exhaust fans have utilitarian plastic grilles. It was painful to walk into completed bathrooms and see those unattractive grilles looking down from the ceiling. In 2008 the Sanderson decorative exhaust grille was created for designer Sherry Sanderson.
This grille fits into a 6" x 6" square opening in the ceiling or wall. The grille has a 1/2" lip which lays over the finished ceiling or wall. The lip is ideal for tile and marble shower ceilings because the tile or marble cutout can be rough. Four phillips head screws (included) fasten the grille to the ceiling or wall. When the grille is used in bathrooms and showers, it is often paired with an in-line exhaust fan such as the Nutone ILFK120.
The grille is available in many finishes applied over brass but is also available in polished or brushed stainless steel. This item is made to order so you should allow three to four weeks for delivery. The finish of the grille shown in the photographs is polished nickel.
