Shower Controller
The Stone Standard Shower Controller is customizable for any shower configuration. The model shown has two controls: the large control panel is placed inside the shower and the small control panel is placed outside the shower. This set is configured to control a three-function shower head from outside the shower and to control the shower head and two other functions from within the shower. The Shower Controller is paired with a thermostatic valve and volume controls. The volume controls are optional and are typically left in the open position to allow for the use of the electronic controls. The Shower Controller allows for the water temperature to stabilize before a person enters the shower and allows the thermostatic valve and volume controls to be placed anywhere in the shower. Typically, without the Shower Controller, at least one volume control is located within reach of the shower entrance so that the water can be turned on without the person taking the shower getting wet since the first water that comes out of the shower is always cold. The Shower Controller is an excellent choice for glass showers and showers that have more than one entrance. The Shower Controller is comprised of an engraved stainless steel bezel which is attached to an aluminum mounting block with neodymium magnets. The stainless steel buttons are piezo switches have some interesting advantages over their conventional mechanical counterparts. One is that there are no moving parts, just the small deformation on the front plate and the piezo element. This means the lifetime of such a switch can be ensured to be tens of millions of operations, since there is no wear involved. Another advantage is that they are completely sealed from the environment and thus made weatherproof. The engraved bezels, mounting blocks, piezo switches and curcuit board which connects the switches to valves, are all custom fabricated for Stone Standard.
